Minangkabau International Airport
Minangkabau International Airport is a regional located approximately 23 kilometres north-west of Padang city, west Sumatra in Indonesia. The airport opened in 2001 in order to replace the outdated Tabing Airport with had become unsafe to operate. The airport has a single passenger terminal and the process of expanding the terminal has begun. Currently the terminal has ten food outlets offering a range of cuisines, along with two shops. There are two airport lounges providing premium facilities and a mosque can be found within the same area of the terminal. While the airport only has one runway, it is capable of receiving aircraft up to the size of a Boeing 747 and Airbus A340.
