DESTINATION GUIDE
Albury Airport
With over 247,000 passengers passing through its terminal per year and over 150 flights a week in and out of the city, Albury Airport is the third busiest airport in Regional New South Wales. It takes pride in its local history, particularly the intrepid spirit shown by the Albury residents when a DC2 taking part in an air race bogged itself in the mud. It took 300 people to dig it out, but the DC2 Uiver resumed its flight after being returned to firmer ground, going on to take second place in the air race. Uiver café and bar was named after this heroic undertaking.
